STOCKY Late-October Update

Hi Everyone,

We are happy to report that our visit to the factory this month went well. We were able to directly inspect progress and details and are feeling good about finally getting STOCKY out the door. Assembly is nearly completed and the factory is now shifting into the packaging phase.

Here are some photos of STOCKY units drying after the final pad printing of graphics:

To try to get these out as fast as possible, we are in daily contact with our fulfillment partners and are aggressively prepping order picking operations and freight logistics to eliminate as many unforeseen issues as possible.

Once the units are packaged, we will be able to give you an updated ETA.

STOCKY Mid-Sept Update

Hi everyone,

We know this is taking a while, but small update:

To keep things moving as fast as possible, and to provide you guys with more updates, we have hired someone on the ground in China who is in touch with the factory and performing in person visits to monitor progress and get pictures.

In the video below you can see the STOCKY parts coming off the line and being inspected. We should have more to come like this soon!

STOCKY September Update

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry to report that over the past several weeks things have slowed down significantly at the factory. There have been multiple times where it felt like we had real momentum, only for a shutdown or delay to completely derail progress. I want to say emphatically that STOCKY is still very much happening and in production—It’s just taking a heck of a lot longer than we ever anticipated.

We’ve been working day in and day out to nail down a solid, reliable wrap date for production, including adding more staff to the team and pushing harder on our partners. I wish I had something more material to report and I’m aware this feels like a non-update, but I just want you to know that I’m reading your comments and I know your feelings and I’m trying everything I can to have more to share.

As a small form of apology and gesture of appreciation for your patience, we are planning a small physical perk for backers that will hopefully hold you over until we have ship dates to report—stay tuned for more on that in the next week or two.

We truly can’t thank you enough for your patience. We promise this will be worth the wait.

STOCKY July 2022 Update & Packaging Preview

Hi everyone,

Tim here with a much-needed update.

When we opened up surveys at the end of May, we reported a June 30th ETA. We hit an unexpected major issue with box production towards the end of June, and we made the decision to delay delivery so we could make sure we can 100% stand behind the quality of the product we’re sending out.

I’m happy to report that we’ve fixed the issue, we’re super happy with the quality of the box, and they are being printed as we speak.

Below is a first look at the final packaging. We’re really stoked about how these came out!

I want to recognize that this process has left some people upset. Please know that STOCKY is near and dear to our hearts here at Donut and the very last thing we want to do is give you a subpar product, especially after all this time. We are doing everything in our power to get these out to you guys, but are really committed to not cutting corners just to ship them out sooner. We want this to be a product that we can be proud of, and one that you are proud to be an early supporter of!
